Behram Contractor's career spawns four decades and include the city's most widely read column and the Founding of two newspapers : Midday and The Afternoon Despatch & Courier.

To this day, Behram contractor edits The Afternoon Despatch & Courier and The Afternoon on Sunday, newspapers which bear his stamp of originality, substance and style, combining hard news with features bitherto unseen in tabloid journalism.

He has been presented with innumerable awards, among them the Padma Shri and the B. D. Goenka award for excellence in journalism.

He lives and works in Mumbai, daily bringing to journalism something new each day.
