OPINIONS

Should the Gujarat government stop searching for survivors?

TALAT AZIZ,
singer:

No. I think if they have the resources they should continue the search. Survivors can be discovered after even 15 days in the rubble. Money is of no consequence when it comes to human life.

MAHESH BHATT,
director:

No. The Gujarat government has done a marvellous job in the rescue and rehabilitation of survivors. I feel that wherever there's hope of any sign of life they should continue the task.

PRAMOD NAVALKAR,
politician:

No. No matter what, hope is hope. Even if one-two bodies are found, the expense of the rescue process is still worth it.

RATNA PATHAK SHAH,
actress:

No. They must continue till there is hope. Experts say there's hope up to 14 days for survivors to be found. They most certainly should not stop the search for them.

DHIREN SHAH,
proprietor 'Sheetal':

No. While the expense and scope of the task is beyond the Gujarat government it's now up to corporates like Reliance and individuals to come forward. Bachau is my hometown and the mass destruction there has to be seen to be believed.
